Abstract
The Call of the Wild is one of the masterpieces of Jack London. He succeeded in creating a wild world in his story The Call of the Wild after the harshness of his experience as enterprises as sea, socialist campaigning, the Klondike gold-rush. London used canine rather than human protagonists-in human situation, not in the plight of the lower animals. This article aims at an exploration of the desire for humanity in the novel through Buck’s returning to the wild. It analyzes Buck’s attitude and behavior towards its masters and the way the masters treat Buck. It points out that the bad natural environment is like the capitalist society and these masters are like the capitalist. It indicates that Buck’s returning to the wild is caused by the greedy cruelty and indifference of the masters, if they were kind to Buck, Buck would have stayed with people. Buck’s experience reminds people to be kind to each other.

摘 要
《野性的呼唤》时杰克•伦敦的代表作之一。在经过海上的锻炼，到华盛顿请愿，阿拉斯加淘金热等事业的艰苦磨砺，伦敦在他的小说《野性的呼唤》中成功的创造出了一个野性的世界。在小说中伦敦用犬作为故事的主人公，而并非人类来表达人情事故，不是描绘动物自身的困苦。本文分析了主人公巴克的遭遇，巴克与主人的关系，巴克最终的命运，通过巴克的回归自然来唤起人们的人性。
