西方对于学习迁移的研究自上世纪初以来一直持续不断。近年来,国外专家
将学习迁移同非母语英语教学(ESL)相结合,诸多研究成果见诸各类学术期刊。
与此同时,国内学术界对于学习迁移的研究也不断增加,但是大多数研究结论中
理论论述居多,实验验证较少。本论文以非母语英语教学中英语学术写作(EAP)
的学习迁移为研究对象,探索非母语英语学术写作中是否存在学习迁移,存在哪
些写作技巧的学习迁移,以及是否存在写作技巧的跨学科迁移等问题。本研究以
国内某研究型大学英语专业学生一至二年级写作课及高年级学术写作经历(包括
出国交换阶段)为实证案例,通过问卷调查、采访和文本分析等三种形式展开。
本研究不仅证实了非母语英语学术写作存在学习迁移,还发现不同的写作技巧迁
移的程度因知识点的新旧程度和学习者的掌握程度而有所差异,并以此为根据针
对目前国内非母语英语学术写作教学提出相关建议。

ABSTRACT
This case study is to examine the existence and locations of learning transfer from
a two-year writing program for English majors at a Chinese research university to the
writing tasks assigned during the students‘ third- and fourth-year courses, particularly
those assigned during exchange to English-speaking countries in the third year. Data
are gathered through questionnaire, interview and writing sample analysis. The
questionnaires, handed out to 39 students, are examined for reports of mastery and
learning transfer of the eight categories of writing skills. Interview scripts and 48
writing samples of 14 of the 39 students who went on exchanges are studied for
specific examples to prove transfers of different learning outcomes. The result of the
study indicates that learning transfer of the writing skills of English-for-academic-purposes (EAP) do occur, both within and beyond a specific
discipline, with varied degrees. The variation is dependent on either the degree of
familiarity of the skills when first taught or the intensity of practice thereafter.
Analyses and suggestions about English-for-academic-purposes writing instructions
are given based on the research results.
